STUDIO ASSISTANT
Messy Craft LLC is a creative studio in central Florida offering programs, events, and activities that invite children, teens, and adults to explore and nurture their creativity. We are seeking a part-time Studio Assistant to support the owner with studio operations, customer experience, and basic administrative tasks while helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and joyful environment.
Position Summary
The Studio Assistant is responsible for day-to-day studio support, including customer service, assisting with creative projects, administrative coordination, and studio organization. This role requires someone who is dependable, friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative in a creative small-business environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work in the studio during scheduled hours and serve as a friendly point of contact for customers

Greet customers and provide information about projects, classes, parties, and studio policies

Understand how studio projects work and offer appropriate support and guidance to customers
-
Process customer payments and help ensure a positive, welcoming customer experience

Help keep the studio clean, organized, and ready for use
-
Schedule and confirm appointments, classes, and events
-
Respond to customer inquiries via email in a timely and professional manner
-
Set up and clean up craft activities, workstations, and displays
-
Prepare and organize materials and supplies for daily studio use
-
Assist the owner with day-to-day studio tasks as needed
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
-
1-3 years of relevant work experience (customer service, retail, hospitality, or similar settings preferred)

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
-
Comfortable engaging with children, teens, and adults
-
Positive, professional, and welcoming demeanor
-
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-
Ability to follow direction and take initiative when appropriate

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:

Interest in arts, crafts, or creative programming
-
Experience supporting events, bookings, or schedules
-
Experience managing email communications or front-desk operations
-
College coursework or degree in business, education, arts, or a related field
Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the studio
-
Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials (generally up to 25 pounds)
-
Ability to perform hands-on tasks involving craft materials and tools

Compensation and Schedule

MARKETING CONSULTANT
Messy Craft LLC is a creative studio in central Florida that provides programs, events, and activities that encourage children, teens, and adults to explore and nurture their creativity in a fun, hands-on environment. We are seeking a part-time Marketing Consultant (Independent Contractor) to support the owner with marketing strategy, promotion, and audience engagement. This role is ideal for a self-directed marketing professional who enjoys working with small businesses and creative brands.
Position Summary
The Marketing Consultant will plan, execute, and evaluate marketing efforts across multiple channels to increase visibility, engagement, and program enrollment. The consultant will work collaboratively with the business owner while maintaining control over how services are delivered.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Developing and executing marketing initiatives to promote classes, events, camps, and special offerings

Creating and managing content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, email marketing)

Recommending marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotional ideas aligned with business goals

Monitoring engagement, reach, and campaign performance; providing periodic performance summaries

Conducting basic market and competitor research to inform promotional strategies

Supporting seasonal or event-based marketing efforts as needed

Other marketing-related services mutually agreed upon
Qualifications and Skills
Required:

1-3 years of experience providing marketing or promotional services

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks

Reliable access to necessary tools, software, and equipment to perform services

Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:

Experience with social media marketing or small business marketing
-
Interest in arts, crafts, education, or creative programming

Experience marketing programs involving children, families, or group activities
-
Coursework or degree in marketing, business, communications, education, or a related field
Compensation and Schedule

Independent contractor (1099) engagement

Compensation based on an agreed-upon hourly rate or project fee, commensurate with experience

Estimated workload of up to 15-20 hours per week (flexible; hours may vary by season)

Consultant will determine how and when services are performed, subject to agreed deadlines
