Creative expression is oxygen for me. It's been part of who I am since my earliest memory, and it's still the thing that gives me life every single day as an adult.
Every single person has creativity inside them. You may not believe that yet, but you do. I'm here to provide the support, the space, and the encouragement for anyone willing to give it a shot.
My Story
I've been an artist, designer, and maker for more than 25 years, and along the way I've collected skills and experience in more mediums than I can count.

It started with a bachelor's degree in interior design from the University of Missouri, then took a sharp turn into the unknown at the Rhode Island School of Design, where I earned my master's. RISD cracked my creative world wide open. I studied architecture, graphic design, product design, furniture design, animation, drawing, painting, fiber arts, weaving, jewelry-making, and more.
Art school gave me permission to experiment with my own creativity, and I never stopped. That's exactly what Messy is for: a place where you can experiment with your own creative spirit, too.
